Grants for Pilbara community groups

Community groups in the Pilbara are now invited to apply for grants of up to $2000 from Easternwell, a mining and energy services company with operations in the Pilbara. Applications will be considered for projects that demonstrate long lasting benefits to the community in the areas of:
  • Community
  • Education and Training
  • Health
  • Indigenous
  • Safety
  • Youth

City of Greater Geraldton Community Grants

Applications are now open for Round 12 of the City of Greater Geraldton's Community Grants Program.

The grants provide assistance to local community groups and organisations that make positive contributions to the Greater Geraldton region.

Submissions close 5pm, Thursday 28th March 2013.

Gascoyne Community Grants

Grants of up to $10,000 are available to eligible not-for-profit organisations to improve the health, well-being and quality of life in Gascoyne communities.

The Gascoyne Community Foundation (GCF) is a local, independent, not for profit trust fund set up to help the region’s communities build and attract funds for the future. Applications for this one-off grant scheme are being accepted until 22 March 2013.

Grants for Women Program 2013

The Department of Communities is currently seeking applications for its 'Grants for Women' program 2013.

The program will provide grants of up to $5,000 to eligible groups and organisations which seek to strengthen the health and wellbeing, economic security, leadership and safety of women in both the home and community.

Community Grants available through resource companies

Applications are now open for community grants from BHP Billiton and Rio Tinto's Dampier Salt.

BHP Billiton's Community Grants Program provides financial assistance for initiatives that enhance community life in the areas of Indigenous wellbeing, environment, twonship amenity, quality education, health and wellbeing and community involvement.

Rio Tinto's Dampier Salt is offering financial assistance to short-term community projects in the Carnarvon, Dampier, Karratha and Port Hedland areas that are unique, innovative, address community and education issues, or require infrastructure.

Geraldton Community Grants now open

The City of Greater Geraldton is now taking applications for its Community Grants Program. Grants will be awarded to community groups and organisations to help them make positive contributions to the quality of life in the Geraldton region.

Applications can be submitted in any of the following categories:
  • Cultural Grant – Opportunities for Creativity
  • Economy Grant – Opportunities for Prosperity
  • Environmental Grant – Opportunities for Sustainability
  • Governance Grant – Leading the Opportunities
  • Social Grant – Opportunities for Lifestyle

Community Action Grants for natural resource management

The Australian Government is currently offering grants under the Caring for our Country program for community groups actively involved in protecting and improving their environment.

Grants between $5000 and $20,000 are available to help community groups carry out on-ground parojects and/or knowledge sharing activities in areas of:
  • coastal environments and critical aquatic habitats,
  • sustainable farm practices, or
  • biodiversity and natural icons
Projects may include recording and using traditional ecological knowledge, developing natural resource management plans, or restoring endangered ecological communities.

Indigenous Arts Funding: applications now open

The WA Department of Culture and the Arts (DCA) awards a wide range of grants to artists, artsworkers, groups and organisations, including targeted Indigenous Arts Funding grants.

The DCA is now accepting applications for two different categories in their Indigenous Arts Grant Program:

Development (click here for more): This category is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists, groups or organisations working in all eligible art forms for projects that involved the exploration of new ideas, the development of new skills, the creation of new work or the recreation or reinterpretation of traditional or customary practices or cultural expression.

Distribution and Marketing (click here for more): This category is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists, groups or organisations working in all eligible art forms and facilitates the distribution of an existing WA arts activity, event or product to new audiences locally, interstate, and/or internationally.

City of Geraldton Community Grants

This week is the last chance to put in applications for the City of Greater Geraldton's Recurrent Community Grants Program for 2012.

The aim of the program is to provide assistance to local community groups and organisations that make positive contributions to the quality of life within the Greater Geraldton region.

Applications for Recurrent Community Grants may be submitted in the following categories:
  • Cultural Grant – Opportunities for Creativity
  • Economy Grant – Opportunities for Prosperity
  • Environmental Grant – Opportunities for Sustainability
  • Social Grant – Opportunities for Lifestyle

This is a great opportunity for Geraldton not-for-profit organisations to gain some financial support for their projects that benefit the community.
